Wahpeton Post 20 was swept by the Fargo Jets on Thursday night to close out the American Legion Baseball regular season. Final scores from John Randall Field were 14-8 and 11-0.
Both teams hit the ball hard in game one, as the Jets racked up 15 hits and Wahpeton tallied nine. Three different Jets recorded a three-hit game.
Cayson Pinsonneault and Rylan Flack doubled, while Post 20 teammate Trey King tripled. Dylan Vierstraete went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Brayden Steffens went 2-for-3 with three runs scored. The center fielder swiped two more bases, making him a perfect 19-for-19 on stolen base attempts this summer.
Pinsonneault doubled again in the nightcap, giving him a team-high six doubles. Eli Kappes singled for the only other Wahpeton hit.
Post 20 will carry an 11-18 record into the upcoming East Region Tournament beginning in Devils Lake on July 24.
