The Breckenridge Cowgirls basketball team continued its perfect summer on the hardwood during a Breakdown Sports USA event held Wednesday in Fergus Falls.
On the heels of a 6-0 showing at the Wisconsin Dells Shootout, the Cowgirls claimed three more victories in Wednesday’s showcase. The scrimmages featured a 20-minute running clock format for each half.
Breckenridge defeated Bismarck Century, 56-45, before topping Pequot Lakes, 42-30, and Detroit Lakes, 39-27.
Breckenridge will take its talent to the Target Center for a July 30 exhibition game against Thompson, North Dakota, prior to the Minnesota Lynx facing the New York Liberty in WNBA action.
The Cowgirls will then turn around and play some of the top teams in all classes of Minnesota high school hoops Aug. 2-3 at the Pacesetter Sweet 16 in St. Joseph.
