The Wahpeton Wahppers amateur baseball team extended its winning streak to five games Sunday with an 8-2 home win over the West Fargo Crows.
Ryan Loewe started on the mound and allowed two earned runs, finishing one out shy of a complete game. The righty tossed 8 ⅔ innings while striking out 13 batters and holding the Crows to three hits.
Jackson Fliflet continued his prolific production in a 2-for-3 showing at the plate. The slugging catcher drove in three runs with a double and a triple.
Fliflet lifted his average to an even .400 through 50 plate appearances. The former American Legion Baseball state champion has 10 runs batted in across 11 games.
Jake Uhlich posted his first three-hit game of the season. The infielder tallied two RBIs and scored an additional run. Loewe and Sterling Warne added two hits apiece.
Nick Zach got the start at first base and drew four walks from the left side of the plate.

The Wahppers took down Sabin, 4-3, in a neutral site game held Wednesday in Fargo.
Lefty hurler Nick Zach pitched five frames of one-run baseball. Zach held the Mets to one hit, striking out six and working around four walks to record the win.
Trace King dialed up four strikeouts across two innings of relief, holding Sabin to a run. Ben Clouse recorded a six-out save, logging three strikeouts without allowing an earned run.
Caden Kappes, Trace King and Jackson Fliflet notched two hits each. Ryan Loewe recorded a pair of RBIs.
The Wahppers stole five bases and out-hit the Mets, 9-4.
