The Wahpeton Wahppers amateur baseball team snapped a three-game losing skid Saturday with a 4-3 win over the Bemidji Blue Ox at the First City Showdown in Bemidji.
Skyler Bladow pitched six innings to earn the win, scattering four hits and overcoming seven walks. The righty recorded two strikeouts and allowed three runs.
Tori Uhlich allowed a leadoff single in the seventh before sandwiching a strikeout between two ground outs to secure the save.
Ryan Loewe accounted for two of Wahpeton’s three hits in the win. Caden Kappes, Uhlich and Sterling Warne each scored a run.
