Cooper Roberts was the only Cowboy hitter to bat above .400 this spring
With the spring baseball season all wrapped up, the All-Section 6A Team has been revealed — including three Breckenridge Cowboys — Slugging corner infielder Cooper Roberts, staff ace Trey Vogelbacher and run-producing middle infielder Connor Ernst.
Junior third baseman Cooper Roberts led Breckenridge in batting average (.403), slugging percentage (.519), hits (31), doubles (7) and runs batted in (23).
Vogelbacher led the pitching staff in starts (8), innings pitched (38.1), wins (5) and strikeouts (38). The senior posted a 3.10 earned run average.
Vogelbacher was also a force at the plate with a .362 average across 79 plate appearances. The righty led Breckenridge with a .519 on-base percentage.
Ernst batted .301 with a .400 on-base clip, four doubles, 16 RBIs and a team-high 22 runs scored. The sophomore only pitched 3.1 innings but didn’t concede an earned run.
