The Breckenridge-Wahpeton Storm softball season has come to an end following a 7-6 loss at Thief River Falls. The ninth-seeded Storm was eliminated from the section tournament by the eighth-seeded Prowlers.
The Storm closes the 2025 season with a 9-10 record.
Thief River Falls broke the tie in the sixth inning with an RBI single.
Aubrey Boesen, Adi Dodge and Jaelie Ernst each doubled in the loss for Breckenridge-Wahpeton.
Boesen had a big day at the dish, batting 3-for-3 with two RBIs, two steals and two runs. Dodge was also productive in a 2-for-4 performance with two runs scored.
Ernst tallied two RBIs on her double. Skylie Pulskamp and Kaylie Moses each recorded an RBI single.
Four-sport athlete Sydni Roberts ended her softball career with a signature leadoff performance. The senior drew three walks and stole three bases.
Marley Mumm grinded through six innings while allowing just one earned run. She was saddled with the loss when the Storm committed four errors. The sophomore worked around seven hits and four walks while striking out nine batters.
