The No. 1-ranked North Dakota State College of Science softball team will open the NJCAA Division III World Series in New York at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. The Wildcats received the No. 1 seed and will face No. 8 Surry in the opening round.
The Cats are coming off a national runner-up showing last season, and won the World Series in 2023.
NDSCS enters the World Series with a 49-13-1 record, leading the nation in doubles (118) and stolen bases (242), while ranking inside the top-10 in most major statistical categories.
The Wildcats are one win away from consecutive 50-win campaigns.
