The Wahpeton Huskies track team competed in the Eastern Dakota Conference Championships on a wet, cold and windy Friday afternoon at NDSU.
The Huskies displayed mental toughness under the conditions by adding three more relays and two more individual qualifiers to the state docket, including Jackson DeVries (300-meter hurdles) and Elise Skovholt (pole vault).
Lucie Comstock led the girls 4×800 with a personal-best 2:34.07 split to set up Olivia Hanson, Addie Parker, and Gracie Falck in a position to finish fourth and earn a trip to state.
