Glenn Jackson Carlson, Jr., age 59, of West Fargo, ND, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025, with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m., at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN.
Glenn was born on February 19, 1966, in Bristol, Connecticut, to Glenn Carlson, Sr., and Mary Ann (Borajkiewicz) Carlson. He was united in marriage to Terri Schneir on a day that Glenn could not forget, July 4, 1994. The couple spent the next few decades living in Florida and Connecticut and were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Courtney and Jessica. After the tragic loss of Jessica in 2022, Glenn and Terri later moved to Fargo, North Dakota, to be closer to their daughter, Courtney, and her husband, Michael. During this time, Glenn worked at Fargo Freightliner.
Throughout the years, Glenn had a passion for fishing, music, his black stone grill, and fixing things. He took meticulous car of his garage and it was always clean and in order. A good night for Glenn included a movie at home with Terri or watching football or hockey depending on the season. Glenn’s love for Terri was so evident and he elevated her in any way he could. He had a special place in his heart for Jessica’s cat, Ellie, who loved chasing the light from a flashlight. If you saw Glenn, he was typically boasting about his family and certainly wearing Carhartt.
Glenn will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 30 years, Terri Carlson, of West Fargo; daughter, Courtney (Michael) Neuman, of Wahpeton, ND; mother, Mary Ann Carlson, of Plainville, CT; siblings, Elizabeth Sullivan, of Cheshire, CT, Christine (Wayne Pegolo) Carlson-Pegolo, of Middletown, CT, Robert (Jill) Carlson, of Cheshire, CT; in-laws, Joel Schneir, Mitchell (Lauren Day) Schneir, Barbara Kupcho; nephews and nieces, John, Kyle (Brianna), Alyssa, Patrick, William, Isabella, David, Justin, and Christopher.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Carlson, Sr.; daughter, Jessica; brother-in-law, Pat Sullivan; and nephew, Andrew Carlson.
