Former Breckenridge high school athlete Jacob Kunkel wrapped up his freshman track and field season at Southwest Minnesota State University on Friday.
Kunkel recorded a leap of 6’5.5” to place fifth in the high jump during the NSIC Championships. In total, Kunkel earned five first-place finishes in the high jump this season, finishing fifth overall in the conference and setting the SMSU indoor record in the process.
