Wahpeton seniors Jackson DeVries, Halle Miller and Treyton Mauch continued to impress with new events Tuesday at the Jamestown Invitational.

DeVries narrowly missed state qualifying in the 300-meter hurdles in his first attempt at the race, placing third. DeVries won the 400-meter dash and placed fourth in long jump.

Miller made a grand debut in the triple jump by leaping to a state-qualifying distance on her second attempt, placing second. Miller also placed second in the high jump.

Mauch also qualified for state in the triple jump in only his third time doing the event.  Mauch also placed runner-up in the 300-meter hurdles.

Claire Woods won both the shot put and the discus with personal-bests in both.
