The Breckenridge Cowboys snapped a two-game losing skid Tuesday with a home sweep of Barnesville by scores of 16-6 and 12-9.

The Cowboys dominated game one behind a 3-for-3 performance by Paul Armitage. The catcher racked up seven RBIs and scored twice in a colossal day at the dish.

Trey Vogelbacher batted 3-for-4 with a pair of runs. Jaxson Riggs, Connor Ernst and Gabe Armitage tallied two hits each.

Vogelbacher earned the win after firing four and 1/3 innings of two-hit baseball. The senior allowed two earned runs while fanning five batters.

Breckenridge trailed 9-1 through two innings of the nightcap, but a tremendous long relief outing by Logan Church helped the Cowboys hang around for the win.

Church spelled Gabe Armitage after the first and delivered six innings on the mound, surrendering one earned run on four hits. The lefty junk baller kept Barnesville off balance, relying on soft contact and striking out a pair of Trojans.

Breckenridge erupted for seven runs in the sixth to seal a comeback win. The Cowboy lineup was led by three runs from Church and a pinch-hit, bases-clearing double off the bat of Riley Kappes.

Ernst, Riggs, Cooper Roberts and Quentin Lugert each added at least one RBI.
