The North Dakota State College of Science basketball team received a commitment from dynamic 6-foot-10 forward/center Luke Christensen on Wednesday.
Christensen was a standout high school player and 1,000-point scorer at Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Falls and spent his freshman college season at Concordia in Moorhead.
Christensen hit the transfer portal as a highly-coveted rim protector with an inside-out scoring package. The sophomore has excellent shooting range and crafty scoring moves in the low post, profiling as a versatile weapon for second-year head coach Gach Gach in 2025-26.
The stretch forward follows his older brother Noah’s path to Wahpeton. The latter began his career at North Dakota State University and transferred to NDSCS for the 2021-22 season.
Noah Christensen helped lead NDSCS to a Region XIII Championship, scoring 444 points and grabbing 396 rebounds across two seasons. He transferred to Concordia College and played two years at the NCAA Division III level, sharing the floor with Luke on multiple occasions during the 2024-25 campaign.
KBMW will keep you updated on the rest of the 2025-26 NDSCS recruiting class as information becomes available.
