HOL Indoor Meet: Berndt wins 3200, Koltes runner-up in high jump

The Breckenridge track and field program competed in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference indoor meet at Concordia College on Tuesday. The Cowboys finished seventh in the 12-team field and the Cowgirls placed 11th out of 13 teams.

The Cowboys were highlighted by Troy Berndt’s (So.) victory in the 3200-meter run (11:27.13).

Other impressive marks included David Erlandson’s (Jr.) fourth-place showing in the pole vault (10’00”) and Joey Lopez (So.) finishing sixth in the 200-meter dash (25.64). Lopez also finished fifth in the long jump (16’7.75”)

The 4×200 relay of Erlandson, Berndt, Lopez and Aidan Sanchez (So.) took fourth place (1:43.37).

The sophomore tandem of Mariah Koltes and Chasity Hansen finished second and fourth, respectively, in the high jump, with leaps of 4’10” and 4’08”.
