Scout Woods was all smiles after receiving her Region 1 Senior Athlete of the Year Award.

Wahpeton senior forward Scout Woods closes the final chapter on her decorated Lady Huskies basketball career with a Division A First-Team All-State selection, as voted by members of the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.

Woods averaged 19.9 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 53% from the field and 80% at the free-throw line. Woods finishes her Wahpeton career with 1,976 points, second in program history to Tylee Irwin (South Dakota State University).

Across five years of varsity action, Woods treated audiences to a rare blend of speed and power on the hardwood, bending positional limits and developing into a dominant player in the low post, fastbreak and dribble drive.
