NDSCS sophomore Masen Allmaras got the job done Sunday by putting the ball in play

The North Dakota State College of Science baseball team walked off Dawson on Sunday for its first Mon-Dak Conference win of the season, 3-2.

Masen Allmaras grounded into an RBI fielder’s choice in the bottom of the seventh, plating Ben Clouse for the winning run. The Buccaneers attempted to turn a double play up the middle but Allmaras beat the throw at first to seal the win.

Garrett Solberg had excellent stuff on the mound, scattering five hits in a complete-game victory. Solberg worked around three walks, struck out two batters and allowed two earned runs.

Skyler Fields tallied two RBIs from the No. 3 hole. Tori Uhlich moved into a first-place tie on the NJCAA DIII national leaderboard with his 27th stolen base.

The Wildcats will have to wait a bit longer for a home game. Sunday’s opener against Bismarck State College has been postponed to April 23 due to the weather.

The 2025 home opener on B 92.7 FM and KBMW News Live Youtube is slated for Saturday, April 5 at John Randall Field. Doubleheader action vs. Miles Community College will begin at 12:45 p.m.
