The 2025 North Dakota Mr. and Miss Basketball candidates have been announced.
Mr. Basketball finalists are Fargo Davies senior Mason Klabo and Westhope-Newburg senior Walker Braaten.
Klabo led the Eagles to a state title appearance in Division AA after four years of falling in the semifinal round. The senior guard averaged 28.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.4 assists and 2.9 steals per game. He became the division’s all-time leading scorer in the process.
Braaten led Westhope-Newburg to consecutive state title appearances and a Division B State Championship over top-seeded North Star in 2024. The senior guard averaged 22.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 3.5 steals per game.
The Miss Basketball finalists are Northern Cass senior Haidyn Crockett and West Fargo Horace senior Jaiden Haile.
Crockett averaged 29.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game, leading the Jaguars to an upset victory over Kindred in the Division A, Region 1 Tournament.
Haile averaged 23.8 points, 16.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.1 blocks, leading the Hawks to their first-ever Division AA State Championship victory.
