Former Wahpeton Lady Huskies golfer and current Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle, Anaka Lysne, notched an individual win at the 2025 Southwest Minnesota State University Classic at Wigwam Resort in Arizona. She defeated Minnesota State University’s Kelly Winter by three strokes.

The junior has notched back-to-back top five finishes in Arizona.

Lysne has six top-10 finishes during the 2024-25 season. Tuesday marked the second tournament win for the Golden Eagles, as she joined Clara Hanson (Sr., Grand Forks, N.D.), who won the 2024 USF Invitational.

Lysne’s tournament win marks the largest tournament a Golden Eagle women’s golfer has ever won. Lysne shot a 13-over 153 to win the two-day tournament in The Copper State. She averaged a 76.5 for the tournament after shooting 77 Tuesday.

Lysne is averaging 78.2 for the 2024-25 season.
