
The Wahpeton boys basketball is headed to the state tournament for the first time since 2009 following a 63-46 victory over Four Winds-Minnewaukan at NDSU on Saturday.
The Huskies were led by Bjorn Kubela’s career-high 27 points. Brayden Steffens scored 17 and Jackson DeVries added eight. Landon Ralph was the leading rebounder with five.
Wahpeton received the No. 6 seed in the Division A State Tournament. The Huskies (18-8) draw a first-round matchup against No. 3 Shiloh Christian (20-3) at 2:45 p.m. Thursday inside the Bismarck Event Center.
