Wahpeton Huskies

The Division “A” Wahpeton Huskies defeated the No. 6-ranked Division “B” Hankinson Pirates on the road Thursday, 46-44. It was a rare divisional crossover between area schools, as Wahpeton moved to 13-7 on the season and Hankinson fell to 16-2.

Hankinson’s RaeShaun Earl dropped a game-high 23 points. Wahpeton was sparked by six assists from Treyton Mauch and a 10-point, nine-rebound night by Alex Comings.

The Wahpeton Huskies picked up a second straight win Saturday, dominating Standing Rock inside the Dawg Den at Wahpeton High School, 60-29.

The Huskies were led by Landon Ralph’s 14 points. Bjorn Kubela added 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals. Comings added eight points and six boards.

Mauch dished out a game-high four assists while Brayden Steffens pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
