Miners month-long win streak halted by Huskies, 63-51

The Beulah Miners rolled into Wahpeton on Friday riding the momentum of an eight-game win streak and receiving votes in the latest North Dakota Division “A” basketball poll.
The Huskies, coming off back-to-back losses, pulled out a 63-51 win over the Miners inside the Dawg Den at Wahpeton High School.
Brayden Steffens returned to his efficient ways, scoring a game-high 19 points on 9-of-14 shooting. Jack Gilbertson followed suit with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
Treyton Mauch was next up for the Huskies in the scoring column with 12 points, five rebounds and two steals. Landon Ralph led Wahpeton with seven rebounds and Bjorn Kubela added five.
Beulah was led by Hudson Sheurer’s 18 points on 4-of-6 shooting from three.
The Huskies moved to 5-5 while the Miners dropped to 8-3.
