The NDSCS women’s basketball climbed out of a 15-point hole and emerged victorious Sunday in a 59-56 win at Lake Region State.
Maggie Westling carried the Lady Wildcats with 22 points and 15 rebounds. McKena Koolmo scored 12 points and Demi (Dame) Van Gils (Van Heels) added 10.
Ava Boyes scored all nine of her points in the fourth quarter as NDSCS outscored the Royals 22-6 in the final frame. Peyton Gette contributed six points and five boards for the NDSCS backcourt.
NDSCS improves to 16-4 and 5-0 in the Mon-Dak Conference. The Royals fall to 11-10 and 4-1 in conference play.
