Several Breckenridge-Wahpeton Bolts swimmers traveled back to Moorhead for a small meet this past Saturday. It was the first time Josie Biffert and Sophia Jones traveled with the team and they competed very well.
Biffert was able to pick up a state-qualifying time (SQT) and many other swims moved closer to the times needed. Biffert, 7,  was runner-up in 25 freestyle and third in 25 backstroke. Sophia Jones, 11, proved to be a back stroker with top-five finishes in the 100 and 50 backstroke.
Evelyn Beyer, 8,  improved times to win the 50 breaststroke and 100 individual medley, while placing second in 50 butterfly and third in 50 backstroke.
Guyle Gamble, 9, turned in a nice improvement to place fifth in 50 backstroke, sixth in 100 freestyle and eighth in 50 freestyle. Inga Dohman, 9, showed a big time drop in 50 butterfly to place runner up, while also placing second in 100 individual medley.
Aiden Henningsen, 14, had nice time drops in all his swims, including a victory in the 50 breaststroke. Gus Dohman, 15, won the 50 and 100 breaststroke, along with 50 backstroke and 50 freestyle.
Maddy Beyer, 16, held times to place runner-up in 50 breaststroke.
