NDSCS men drop two despite Deang’s big weekend

The North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) men lost twice in the Baymont Classic hosted at Ed Werre Arena in Wahpeton. The Wildcats fell 73-64 to Rochester and 89-82 to Anoka-Ramsey. NDSCS is now 4-3 on the season.
Jekany Deang, a 6-foot-11 freshman, led the Wildcats with 48 points and 16 boards across two games, playing 31 minutes in each contest. 
Mikkel Cintron stepped up Saturday with a career-high 23 points and seven rebounds, but Anoka-Ramsey outscored NDSCS 53-49 in a second-half shootout to lock down the win. 
The Golden Rams were led by 25 points and four steals from Albert Tinnell IV. Anoka-Ramsey is coached by former UConn Huskie and 1999 NCAA National Champion Kahlid El-Amin, who played pro basketball for the Chicago Bulls.
