MOORHEAD, Minn. — Concordia College senior Noah Christensen is proof that scoring isn’t always the dominant factor in measuring a player’s impact on the game of basketball.
The 6-foot-10 center attempted four shots and scored two points Friday, but his presence was felt defensively, where he collected a game-high nine rebounds and four blocks. Christensen added three assists and a steal in 19 minutes as the Cobbers demolished Providence-Manitoba, 83-41.
Christensen helped Breckenridge High School win back-to-back section titles in 2017 and 2018 before winning a Region XIII Championship during a two-year stint at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton. Christensen is the all-time leading scorer at Breckenridge High School.
Christensen’s younger brother, Luke, made his Concordia debut and scored four points in five minutes of action. The 6-foot-10 freshman from Hillcrest Lutheran Academy brings a dangerous inside-out game to the Cobber program.
