Wahpeton track and field standout Scout Woods has committed to North Dakota State University. The senior thrower is already a two-time state champion in the shot put, and one of the top high school basketball players in North Dakota. Woods also starred on some of the best golf teams in Wahpeton history.
Woods is a generational athlete. She holds the Wahpeton girls basketball record for single-game scoring (41 points) and the Lady Huskies shot put (43’10.5″) and discus (135’03”) records.
Woods chose the Bison after narrowing her destination to a number of schools including Fresno State, University of North Dakota and Minnesota State University Moorhead. She is the daughter of David and Heather Woods.
