The final NJCAA DIII football rankings of the season were released Tuesday, breaking a second-place tie and deciding which team will challenge College of DuPage in the national championship game.
Louisburg remained at No. 2, while North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) dropped one spot to No. 3. The rankings mean Louisburg (8-2) will head to Glen Ellyn, Illinois, to face three-time defending champion DuPage (9-1) at the Red Grange Bowl.
DuPage has won each of the last three titles by five points or less, including a 14-12 victory over NDSCS in 2022. The game is played on the DuPage campus.
NDSCS finishes the 2024 season with a 9-1 record, winning the Minnesota College Athletic Conference regular season and postseason championships. The Wildcats’ only loss — a 48-14 defeat at DuPage in week five. NDSCS has a 35-7 record dating back to the 2021 season.
