Breckenridge lassoes Lake Park-Audubon, 36-14

The Breckenridge Cowboys built a three-score halftime lead and kept Lake Park-Audubon in check the rest of the way for a 36-14 victory Tuesday in the Section 6A playoff opener.

Second-seeded Breckenridge hosted LPA and all three of their first half scores each came from three yards out.
Gabe Armitage plunged in for a rushing score, Riley Kappes found Levi Christensen for his first TD of the season and Trey Vogelbacher followed it up with a strike to Cooper Roberts.
The QB duo of Vogelbacher and Kappes each went in for a rushing score.
Paul Armitage was the leading rusher for Breck with 104 yards on 13 totes. Lawson Oliphant followed with 78 off nine carries.
Kappes and Aidan Sanchez each had an interception and Cooper Roberts recovered a fumble that David Erlandson jarred loose in his first game back in multiple weeks. Kai McDonald and Levi Christensen each got to the quarterback for a sack.
The 5-4 Cowboys host third-seeded Parkers  Prairie in the section semis at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
