
A structure fire in Lidgerwood and a vehicle fire in Wyndmere were both extinguished on Sunday.
The house fire, which occurred at 201 1st Ave. SE in Lidgerwood, led to significant damage. One occupant and a dog were in the home while the fire was spreading, but safely exited without injury.
The Lidgerwood Fire Department, Lidgerwood Ambulance and the Richland County Sheriff’s Office were on scene and the flames were quickly extinguished.
The house fire was reported shortly after noon and shortly after 1:30 p.m. a vehicle fire was reported at 731 7th St. in Wyndmere.
The fire was quickly extinguished and the car suffered significant damage to the engine compartment. Nobody was in the car while it was on fire and nobody was hurt.
Responding to the incident were Wyndmere Fire Department and Richland County Sheriff’s Office.
