CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The No. 1 seed NDSCS softball team lost in the semifinals of the NJCAA DIII World Series on Thursday to the No. 2 seed Patrick & Henry Community College, 4-3, in eight innings.

TK Landes led NDSCS, the defending national champions, with three hits, two RBIs and a run scored. Riley Tappy, Jayden Breiland and Emma Johnson delivered two hits apiece.

Grace Folkema allowed one earned run through 5 ⅓ innings, striking out six and walking five. Emma Johnson pitched the final 2 ⅓ innings.

Kyndal Hopkins tied the game at 3-3 with a solo homer in the sixth and Makalah Wiggins walked it off for the Patriots with a solo shot of her own in the eighth.
