The Breckenridge baseball team was swept by Pelican Rapids on their home field by scores of 10-6 and 6-1 on Thursday. 

Breck rallied from six down with all of their runs coming in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game. The Vikings scored the game’s final four runs to close out the win. 

Connor Ernst and Riley Kappes each walked with the bases loaded to plate a run and Paul Armitage had an RBI single. Lawson Oliphant capped off the rally with a three-run double.The sophomore also drove in the lone run of the second game with a base knock. 

Oliphant and Trey Vogelbacher split duties on the hill. Vogelbacher fanned seven batters in three and two-third innings while giving up two earned runs and four unearned. The four runs Oliphant gave up were earned. 

Game two saw Logan Church get the start. He gave up four runs in five innings, two earned. He also fanned six batters. 

Next up for the 1-2 Breck squad is a 5 p.m. Monday home bout with Upsala-Swanville.
