Woods, Fobb, Mauch and Gomez lead the track teams at EDC indoor

EDC Indoor & EDC Outdoor “Throw-A-Thon”

Scout Woods and Jaida Fobb led the Lady Huskies Track team to a fourth-place finish at the EDC Indoor track meet. Scout and the throwers went outside for the shot put and discus while the Jaida and the other runners and jumpers competed indoors at the UND Fritz Pollard Athletic Center.
Scout claimed the title in both the shot put and discus with throws of 41’3 ½” and 129’07″, respectively. Both of those marks qualified Scout for the State Track Meet.
Jaida won the high jump with an impressive leap of 5’03”. Jaida also led off the girls 4×200 relay team which placed second in a very good indoor time of 1:49.75.
Leah DeVries, Taylor Mauch and Halle Miller also ran legs on the relay. Jaida placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.79. She completed her day teaming up with DeVries, Lucie Comstock and Gracie Falk in the 4×400 relay which ran a 4:22.08 to place fifth. The girls grabbed three places in the 60-meter dash with DeVries (3rd), Mauch (5th) and Miller (6th) in times of 8.36, 8.56 and 8.56, respectively.
On the Boys side, Treyton Mauch picked up three places, taking fourth in the Long Jump (20”00 ¾”), fourth in the high jump (5’08”) and sixth in the 60-meter dash (7.32).
J.D. Gomez captured also grabbed three places, taking fifth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.44) and running legs in the sixth-place 4×800 relay (8:54.69) and the seventh-place 4×400 (3:48.97). Other members of the 4×800 team were Noah Berge, Marcos Blazquez and Liam Campbell. Joining J.D. on the 4×400 team were Berge, Jackson DeVries and Carter Hockert. Jackson DeVries had a huge high jump of 6’00” to place third.
