The NDSCS softball team defeated Central Lakes on Saturday, 8-1. Emma Johnson got it done on the rubber and at the plate driving in four runs with a home run and a double. In the circle, she struck out five in the 7-inning win. The Wildcats defeated Central Lakes again Sunday, 7-2, as Johnson struck out 12 while allowing nine hits and two earned runs. Avery Martin, Caitlyn Dannenfelzer and Kendyl Moss went 2-for-4 at the plate. Martin belted her fourth homer of the weekend. 

NDSCS rounded out the weekend with a 19-0 win vs. Rainy River. NDSCS outscored its opponents 45-3 and belted nine home runs. The Wildcats are 17-7 and ranked No. 1 in the country for NJCAA DIII softball. Weather permitting, NDSCS hosts Miles Community College next weekend to kick off the 2024 home slate.
