B-W Blades hockey coach Adam Wiertzema was named Section 6A Coach of the Year by the Minnesota Hockey Coaches Association.
Wiertzema and the Blades made significant strides during a 5-win campaign after winning just one game over the past two-plus years. The Blades scored 22 more goals and let up 33 fewer goals than they did last season.
