The Breckenridge Cowboys lost their 18th straight game Saturday at the NDSCS Boys Basketball Bonanza, falling 57-34 to the Sargent County Bulldogs.

Breckenridge is now 2-20 overall with four regular season games remaining in Minnesota State High School League play. Sargent County is 14-5 entering North Dakota’s Division “B” postseason, which begins Friday.

Box scores were not available prior to press time. Three Cowboys were averaging double figures in the scoring column entering the game — Aidan Sanchez (10.6 ppg), Jacob Kunkel (10.1 ppg) and Beau Beyer (10.0 ppg). Cooper Roberts (pictured above) has played his best basketball as of late, lifting his scoring average to 8.3 points per game and matching Sanchez with a team-high 5.8 rebounds per game.
