
The North Dakota State College of Science basketball teams earned a road split with Lake Region State on Sunday. The Wildcat men took care of the Royals for an 82-61 victory and the NDSCS women came up short, 61-57.
Leading the way for the Wildcats (25-1) was Peyton Newbern with 19 points and a whopping six steals to go along with five assists.
Kaleb Larson, Calvin Sisk and Benjamin Fort each followed with 10 points in the win.
The Lady Wildcats (20-6) received 16 points from Michelle Arens and Arianna Berryhill chipped in with 10.
Next up for the Wildcat teams is a 5:30 p.m. Thursday road doubleheader at Bismarck State College.
