Shania Nichols-Vannett, North Dakota State College of Science women’s basketball, was named Mon-Dak Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

The freshman combo guard from Como Park High School in Saint Paul, Minnesota, averaged a triple-double of 14.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 10.0 assists across two conference wins vs. Miles Community College and Bismarck State College.

Nichols-Vannett was featured front and center during the two offensive onslaughts, as NDSCS routed Miles, 82-56, and rolled over Bismarck State, 100-47.

Across 22 games this season (all starts), the do-it-all guard is averaging 15.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.4 steals on 49/33/84 shooting splits.

NDSCS (17-5, 10-3 Mon-Dak) has a firm hold on the No. 2 spot in the conference, trailing only Williston State College (19-3, 12-1 Mon-Dak).
