The Breckenridge Cowboys turned in their most complete game of the season, routing Wadena-Deer Creek for a 45-0 road victory on Friday.

Lawson Oliphant got Breckenridge on the board in the opening quarter with a 22-yard TD run and Paul Armitage followed it up with a one-yard plunge.

The lone TD of the second quarter was an 11-yard sweep by David Erlandson. The sophomore running back went in again from 10 yards out in the third quarter.

Bailey Evans punched in a one-yard TD in the third quarter and the backup unit even put points on the board with Isaiah Hill running it in from 17 yards out.

The Cowboy pass rush gave the Wolverines fits in the opening half registering multiple sacks. Alan Martinez was in on two of them and Aidan Sanchez also picked off a pass in the opening half.

Evans ran for a team-high 125 yards on only nine carries. He completed two passes on the day with Erlandson hauling in both of them for 56 yards. Erlandson also had 59 yards on seven carries.

Breckenridge is 3-4 and finishes the regular season at home against Walker-Hackensack-Akely at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
