The Breckenridge Cowgirls found themselves in a slugfest with Underwood on Monday, holding on for a 3-2 victory by set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-22, 20-25 and 15-9.
Three Cowgirls hit double-digit kills in the home win. Katlyn Kaehler led the way with 19, Erin Blaufuss had 15 and Hailee Hanson finished with a dozen.
Blaufuss notched three solo blocks and one assisted block while Hanson had three assists and one solo.
Parker Yaggie racked up 38 assists for Breck and also had a pair of aces, one shy of Kolle Schuler’s three.
Breckenridge is 10-4 on the year and moves on to host Barnesville at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
