The Breckenridge-Wahpeton Storm girls cross-country team won the Melrose Area Invitational on Tuesday.
Lucie Comstock and Kiera Wiertzema were each top-10 finishers, coming in fifth and ninth, respectively. Comstock finished in 21 minutes and 6 seconds while Wiertzema finished in 21 minutes 19 seconds.
Gracie Falk finished 13th while Jasmyn Benedict and Addie King were close together in 25th and 28th, respectively. The BW squad was rounded out by Aubrey Boesen in 84th and Ashlyn Haire in 89th.
Fifteen teams took part in the meet. The top finisher was Caroline Kuehne from Long Prairie-Grey Eagle in 19 minutes 48 seconds.
The Storm are off until Thursday, Sept. 28 when they run in Fergus Falls.
