Wildcat Baseball Win Weekend Series

The North Dakota State College of Science played their first fall ball double header of the season, beating Minnesota State Community & Technical College in two seven inning games 12-10 and 8-1.
In both games, the Wildcats threw multiple pitchers. In game one, Brendan Maasjo got the start, throwing two innings and allowing six hits and two runs while striking out two. Nick Zach threw two innings, allowing two runs and striking out three and Ben Clouse finished things up throwing three innings, allowing two hits and a run while striking out two. Nick Thompson went 4-4 with four RBIs and two doubles. Devin Petersen went 3-4 with two doubles and three RBIs.
In game two, the Wildcats went 4-1 lead before tacking on four runs in the top of the seventh to win big. Ryan Loewe had a big day at the plate, going 2-2 with two RBIs and a double. Jacob Topp started on the hill, pitching three innings allowing two hits and a run. Trace King threw two innings only allowing one hit and Nick Thompson pitched the final two innings, allowing two hits and striking out three.
The Wildcats next match up is a double header this Friday at 3pm against Lake Region State College at John Randall Field.
