The Wahpeton Post 20 baseball team finished off their East Region Tournament in dominant fashion, cruising to a 6-0 victory over tournament host Casselton on Saturday.
Caden Kappes went the distance on the hill to claim the shutout victory, giving up only two hits while striking out half a dozen Haymakers.
Jackson Fliflet was in on half of his team’s runs, driving in two while scoring one himself. He had a double in a 1-3 performance.
Gavin Schroeder went 2-2 with a run and Tori Uhlich scored a run in a 1-3 outing.
Post 20 enters the North Dakota American Legion State Tournament as the top-seeded team out of the East. The tournament starts on Friday.
