The North Dakota State University Athletic Department announced Wednesday that Sam Neidermann will be the new “Voice of the Bison” beginning this upcoming season.

Neidermann’s play-by-play experience includes Westwood One, ESPN, and Stony
Brook University. He has called nationally broadcast college football for the last two seasons, as well as college basketball coverage, including the 2022 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Neidermann was also a part of ESPN’s college football coverage during the 2022 season, including the first two rounds of the Division I FCS Playoffs.

A native of Fishers, Indiana and a graduate of Indiana University, where he earned
a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Media, Neidermann has called play-by-play for multiple sports at Stony Brook University in New York since 2021. He served as the voice of Stony Brook’s women’s basketball telecasts on SNY and was also the voice of Stony Brook’s baseball program. In June 2022, he produced and directed 1300 Miles to Omaha, a three-part documentary about Stony Brook’s 2012 baseball team that made it to the College World Series.

“I am honored to join the winning tradition at North Dakota State and feel so blessed to be a part of the NDSU family. Thank you to Tom Boman and Josh Hartman of Learfield, Matt Larsen and NDSU athletics, and Nancy Odney of Radio FM Media for this special opportunity. I cannot wait to get to Fargo and meet Bison Nation. Go Bison!”
