
The Breckenridge Post 53 baseball team went 1-2 in their tournament hosted in Montevideo over the weekend.
Breckenridge went 1-1 on Saturday, blowing out Sacred Heart-MACCRAY 13-1 in five innings and then falling to Montevideo on a walk-off bunt, 7-6. Post 53 finished the tournament with a 17-2 loss on Thursday against Glenwood.
In the first game, Peyton Christianson only gave up four hits and a run to pick up the win on the mound. He also had a strong showing at the plate, driving in two runs off two hits while also scoring a run.
Gavin Snyder drove in three runs in a 2-4 showing and Cam Nieto was also 2-4 with an RBI. Both of them also scored a run.
Nieto and Snyder continued to shine at the plate in game two. Nieto was 3-4 with a pair of runs while Snyder played a run and scored one in a 2-3 performance.
Gavin Hoffert also had a pair of hits and two runs for Breck.
