Jacob Kunkel qualified for the Minnesota State Track Meet for the second year in a row in high jump with a leap of 6-foot-2-inches.
The top two finishers automatically advance in each individual event, but Kunkel cleared the qualifying height in his third-place finish.
The junior was the lone Breckenridge performer to move on to the state meet with multiple Cowboys and Cowgirls vying for a qualifying spot at their Section 6A Meet in Pelican Rapids on Thursday.
The state meet takes place June 8-10 at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
