The North Dakota State College of Science softball team cruised to a 12-4 victory in five innings on Friday against Anoka-Ramsey Community College, giving the Wildcats their third consecutive Region XIII Championship.

The Wildcats gave up three runs in the first inning and trailed 4-3 heading into the fourth inning, where they’d put nine more on the board.

Lara Dolezal had a double, a single and three RBIs in the win.

Amanda Hiner came through for a two-run homer.

Two-time Mon-Dak Conference MVP Katelyn Strauss gave up three earned runs off only three hits and just as many walks. She struck out four.

The 31-13 Wildcats move on to the NJCAA National Tournament in Dewitt, New York.
