Scout Woods set a school record in the discus throw on Friday at the Fargo Shanley Invitational with a launch of 131-feet-5-inches. Woods also took home first place in the shot put with a toss of 39-feet-7-inches.
Emma Bontjes took third in the other throwing event, javelin, throwing 101-feet-6-inches.
Ethan Manock was the top finisher for the boys, finishing second in discus at 157-feet-6-inches.
Andrew Withuski finished third in pole vault, clearing 12-feet-6-inches.
The Wahpeton teams move on to a 2 p.m. Tuesday meet in Kindred.
