
The Wahpeton Huskies won their Border Battle baseball game over Breckenridge by a score of 11-1 in five innings on Monday at the Airport Baseball Field.
Riley Thimjon and Caden Kappes each had a pair of hits for the Huskies in the victory. Caden Hockert had a pair of RBIs in the victory.
Braxton Pauly fanned five Cowboy batters in 2 and two-third innings of work.
Breckenridge’s lone run came off a two-out single by Jaxson Riggs to score Kaleb Albertson in the top of the final inning.
Next up for the Huskies is a 6 p.m. Thursday home game against Bismarck St. Mary’s.
The Cowboys move on to face Hawley in a 4 p.m. Thursday road doubleheader.
