Central Cass claimed the Region 1 Championship with a 44-40 win over Kindred on Thursday.

The Squirrels led by 10 heading into the final quarter and held the Vikings off to move on to state tournament.

Central Cass was led by Cole Holzer who had a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Presley Peraza went for a game-high 15 points in the loss with Karson Ouse also hitting double figures for Kindred with 10.

Sargent County picked up a win in the third-place game over Hankinson by a score of 73-64.

Fletcher Willprecht poured in 21 points to lead the Bulldogs and Joshua Wittick had a double-double with 11 points and a dozen boards.

Raeshaun Earl and Cruz Hernandez each buried four triples in the Pirates’ final game of the season. Earl went for a game-high 23 points with Hernandez dropping in 16 in his final outing as a Pirate.
