Central Cass and Kindred punched their tickets to the Region 1 Championship with wins on Tuesday.

The Squirrels held off Hankinson for a 79-71 victory. Central Cass got 19 points each from Carter Vrchota and Cole Holzer.

Hankinson went down swinging with a monster night from Cruz Hernandez. The senior went for 27 points while also leading the team in assists with five. Hernandez buried six triples in the loss.

Andrew Jean and Raeshaun Earl also hit double figures for the Pirates with 12 and 11, respectively.

Kindred gutted out a 62-58 victory over Sargent County to move on.

Jack Davis hit all seven of his field goal attempts to finish with a team-high 16 points for the Vikings.

The Bulldogs got 14 apiece from Luke Martinson and Josh Wittich.

The Region 1 Championship will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday on KBMW with the third-place game being played beforehand at 6 p.m.
